Group Buy for Korg PolySix KLM-367a PCB Clones

Post by Jed » Mon Feb 22, 2010 2:26 pm

Hi folks,

If anyone has a dead PolySix that they are interested in reviving, look over here:

https://sites.google.com/site/jedjorgensen/

Over the last year myself and another member of the Yahoo Group dedicated to the P6 have recreated the PCB which notoriously suffers from exploding battery corrosion.

We are now offering the PCB for sale and are holding a group buy to determine how many are to be ordered.

If interested, stop on by!

Thanks,

Jed

Great idea - is there a calibration procedure after you've replaced all of the components?

I know the price of the PCB is up in the air, but is there a ballpark price on replacing everything on there?

I used to have a polysix - the battery leaked and ruined it but before I could fix it the building it was in burned down. The universe did not want me to have that keyboard.

The calibration procedure is in the service manual. This pcb is an exact replacement, so the calibration is the same.

The parts cost, if you are starting from scratch, is about $100. A new flash rom is about $24 of that, so if you don't need that you are ahead of the game.

The group buy just closed today. I'm ordering some extras, so I'll have some stock on hand for a little while.
