Surprised no one has mentioned this:

I picked mine up the other day and have been having a lot of fun with it.

Yah been watching it, probably will get one eventually though I'm overflowing with synths at the moment.. Big miss though IMHO is either MIDI or a real keyboard...yes I realize this shoot it above and beyond $60...but hell even if Korg made a "full size" analog synth in the Microkorg format (and price tag) I'd consider it...surely if Dave Smith can sell the Mopho keyboard for $800 then Korg can release a minimal bells and whistles instrument for less..

This page has a video of Monotron mods Korg is working on:

I got one of these two weeks ago. Both me and my two-year-old love it.
A little chorus and delay and the thing sounds **huge**. Passing audio through the filter is great. I also plugged it into my Korg ES1 and had fun gating it.
Ridiculous fun for the price.
The CV mod looks great if you want to track things accurately. I'm tempted but I can't let my wife see me take it apart quite yet.
Look here for good details about the CV mod:

Are the components smd or full size?A.David.MacKinnon wrote:Just got one today and spent an hour building a true bypass effects loop box so I can run things through it in the studio and live.
I'm thinking about buying another to mod/circuit bend. It's so much fun stock I can only imagine what you could do with it.
