Scully 280B parts

Post by bassist001 » Mon Sep 27, 2010 1:08 pm

So i've got a Scully 280B sitting around but i don't have the pre-amps for it. So i was considering parting it out on e-bay or something. You think it would be worthwhile or would anyone find it helpful at all?

join the yahoo group scully_recorder - it's the giant home of everyone with scully machines and who need/have parts...

you might be able to pick up the electronics and hook it up - it's a nice recorder - clean and mostly transformerless - i'd say it's on par or one step up from an Otari MX-5050 1/4" - although personally I dug the Otari more, some people swear otherwise...

post on the group. you'll definitely either find someone with the electronics to sell or someone who might want your transport (or parts from it). much much much better than eBay.
