UA 1108s on ebay - opinions?

Was just cruising ebay and saw this. The guy has a few he'll be listing.
What say you guys?

I can't see the ad at work so I don't know condition or if they are racked, but...


1108's are fantastic amplifiers! I have a pair of original 1108's from one of the United Western consoles that were racked at BAE. Got them for OH duties and I've never been disappointed. Every freelancer that worked in our place drooled over how good they sound. I am in the process of selling all my gear, but I'm going to my grave with them 1108's. Probably the nicest preamp I ever got use.

for price comparison (for whatever that's worth) the BAE racks were going for about $1800 when they were available about 8 years ago. I paid $1600 for it used.
I thought this club was for musicians. Who let the drummer in here??

I had some from Wally Heiders studio, and they were great.
I have a 2108 now and it's cool too.
I'd say if the price stays reasonable grab 'em up.
