Super excited to finnaly get the opportunity to use my new 4038s in Blumlein for drum overheads (more in front than over head).
Having trouble understanding how AEA meant this stereo bar to work in Blumlien. I attach the 4038 SA adapters to the bar like they did in the photo but the center line of the mics are not really centered. It's easy enough to move them over to center, but it's not how the diagram shows it, so I'm looking for some confirmation that I'm doing it right.
Thanks folks

Sorry I can't help there... Though I bought one of their stereo-bars years ago and I never could setup as easily and fast as I would have expected. Ended-up letting it go down the road after some time. Maybe I was the problem though! Still, it hasn't kept me from wanting a pair of 4038s with the AEA-stereo-bar for many years now! Would be curious how you're liking them and if you are rocking the stereo-bar correctly too.

Thanks Marc, Wes Dooley confirmed that I was in fact doing correctly.Marc Alan Goodman wrote:Take one of the clips off the microphones.
Flip it over.
Put it back on.
The mic center line won't match the bar in the middle of the mount, but the two mics will match.
For some reason I'm having difficulty putting it in words If you don't get it let me know and I'll snap some pictures.

Going to try it out on a small 5 piece kit, I will start by placing the Blumlein pair 3 feet in front with a 414 in omni hung low (head level) in the middle of the kit. I hope to make that the basic sound. I've found the 414 in omni works great with brushed snare almost don't need a snare mic.Marc Alan Goodman wrote:That's it! Have fun with some seriously wide stereo
Thanks Marc!
