It's a 7x13' snare, so it does look a lot like a tom.
The rug is also nice.

It's a Pork Pir Pig Lite. It's acrylic like a Vistalite. It's pretty cool and the deal was right. It's loud and the rim shots will tear your head off, even with a dry head that the guy I got it from installed. When not playing rim shots it's really articulate like a metal drum, but I feel like it has more body than most metal snares, or at least MY metal snares. He had it tuned up all "soCal" style, and it was short and aggressive. I tuned it down a bit which added some meat, but oddly also brought out a high pitched ring. I've only had it since last night and have played for about 45 minutes on it. I doubt it will ever be my "goto" snare, but i do believe it will be useful.
I want to to more remote drum tracking for other artists, so I'm totally into having another snare.

It's a 7x13" snare, so it is tom like in size.
The rug is cool, thanks.

I really want to do more remote drum tracking for artists, so it a good idea to have MORE SNARES!

Like I really needed another guitar...
Picked up an absolutely mint, time machine edition...
1979 Peavey T60 in natural finish with hard case
Looks to have been pulled out of the case less than dozen times (approximately...) between Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama... Includes curious packs of strings, one from Gibson that starts at .11 but ends at .39...and factory sealed??? And a note stating that strings were changed in Nov 1980.... Along with VIP laminate to the local music store complete with the owner's real name (store no longer in business), receipts...setup documents..case candy... Even has the plastic film on the pickguard.
Crazy.
Too bad its a Peavey, not a real classic brand...
But a nice guitar, with interesting controls and looks to have been built very well.

I love those T60's, rock-solid.
I just bought a Mullard 12AU7 for US$13 shipped; I wanna try it in my cheap mic's (Apex 460, MXL 9000 and V69ME), see if it makes for an improvement.
(I already changed the Apex's un-branded 12AX7 to a RCA 12AU7, seems a little darker and cleaner, what is good; I am happy with the V69, kinda dislike the 9000.)

That's super groovy. Is it the Rick Neilson model?

Nice PCM-60! Love 'em!
Just picked up a Vox Night Train 50 head, and it rules! Nice vox quack-y mid spank on clean channel(s),and nice controllable gain on the lead channel.
Nice to downsize footpedal land, and just play.

PSP SpringTank. Awesome new spring reverb plugin. Only $50!
I also bought a used Swart Atomic Space Tone. It's a great studio amp but it's got enough juice for a small gig. And it's a lot more portable than my Fender Bassman rig
Still waiting for a Luna reunion
