purchased an AKAI S2000. Please help guide me to the purchase of a compatible SCSI 2 for cd rom download. Many thanks, in advance.

passed on the 2000.....going for mint S3000XL. a little more $ but seems the right thing to do.

Out of curiosity, what are you using for recording?

M-Tron points that I haven't seen anyone mention -

- No trying to scare up a CD-Rom drive
- Optigan/Orchestron expansion packs
- M-Tron Pro has built in stereo layer/reverse options.

I would have to second the Alesis Fusion. For peanuts these days, and better than dealing with SCSI voodoo and creaky old samplers. Not that I don't love old samplers, as I have a fair share of those also, but bang for buck the Alesis Fusion is hard to beat.
