Post by thereminman » Mon Oct 07, 2013 1:53 pm

I believe the equivalent to 456 in RMG's world is 911,

What is the equivalent to 456 in ATR?

thanks for the help!

If you go to youtube and sign up for a Harrison mixbus deal of $49 & 49 for the program and basic effects, if you don't have it you have no idea of what you are getting. Just link in to watching their video school, and you'll get the 2.3.1 deal. I don't know what the 3.0 upgrade will cost, and, honestly, I don't care. This is an old school studio, basic processor program, and they are adding more. I don't play the stock market, I prefer real property investments, but if I did, that's where my risk money would go.

uh, not sure what's up with mrc's post, there......

anyway, ATR only has one formulation of tape. scope it out:

http://atrtape.com/atr-master-tape-specifications/

I have my machines (two Otaris and a Tascam) at +6 and they love ATR tape. I suppose those specs look a little closer to 499 than 456 but I was pleasantly surprised by ATR - I used to use 456 but had some bad experiences with bunk old-stock tape. I switched to using nothing but ATR a few years ago and have been totally happy.
get up with it
