With a Tascam Portastudio 424 MKII, is it possible to do a mix on the unit and output the four discrete channels without losing the sound of the mix. It seems that the tape outputs only send out what was directly recorded, and bypass the eq that was applied later. I know pan settings would probably be lost, but was wondering if there was a way to maintain the eq.
Thank you
Tascam 424 MKII, outputting channels while maintaining mix?

I have a PDF of the owners manual. PM me you email and I can send it over.
If memory serves the eq can be used during mix down, but you have to have the correct setting and it may only be a stereo out of the mix. Are you trying to run all 4 tracks out to a DAW at once? If so...then I'm sure the eq in the DAW will get you there pretty quick.

Thanks, I have the PDF as well, I'm able to use the EQ during mixdown. I was seeking to have the EQ while outputting all four tracks to a DAW. I can totally get there within the DAW, and that's fun too but of course it's a bit different, and I find the mixing experience on the portastudio really enjoyable in it's own way.
