Latest gear you've acquired.....
Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
Aphex Bass Xciter, pretty cool, like putting on a loudness switch on the bottom kina dub-stylee, the xciter part is pretty subtle.

My first Catalinbread effect pedal. The Sabbra Cadabra.
It sounds absolutely wickedly devastatingly good.
Got the blemished special edition with the purple artwork.

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

I love that pedal; Catalinbread is insanely good stuff; they get liner note credit on Swervedriver records.
Just got a Earthquaker Bit Commander V.1 - a great analog synth sound, I can tell is gonna be a go-to for me.

I've got the new Mac Studio up and running. Part of doing that was I made a trade with a drum tracking client and I got his UAD account. I feel overwhelmed having almost 50 new plugins all at once. The API Vision strip is pretty bitchin'. I have the Legacy, but that has the 550B, so I'm pretty OK with that. Ocean Way sounded amazing on a trombone, and of course Capital Cambers, chef's kiss.

1978 Jen SX-2000 Analog Monosynth - I sold one foolishly a couple years back, found another for cheap and jumped at it. It has the same Diode Filter as the EMS VCS3 Synthi, of Pink Floyd and BBC Radiophonic fame. Italian made, quirky and cheap but that's me.
1967 Truetone Thunderbolt - A Valco made tube combo amp, they are the same as the Supro Thunderbolt, National Thunderball, Gretsch Pro Bass, and Harmony 420. Small all tube combo amp i'll use for my bar gigs. has a sealed 15" speaker.

I don’t love everything Earthquaker, but they sound like a great company and lifetime warranty which I did use one time after I received a faulty pedal from someone who doesn’t know how to pack things correctly on Reverb.

This is the Creepy Fingers version of that design. It is no joking matter.

Nice! I too have a soft spot for quirky Italian keyboards.
Just bought a guitar for the first time in 10 years or so--a hardtail version of the Yamaha Revstar 502. So far it's nice--I think it'll find a comfortable spot in my relatively limited guitar arsenal.

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
My curiosity got the better of me, and I finally picked up an old E-Mu Morpheus Rack synth. It's got these crazy filter systems that allow constantly-morphing synth textures to be created. The front-panel UI isn't super fast, but some guy wrote a free MDID utility for Mac & PC that allows me to edit parameters on the computer UI and even save presets into the device. So, far... it's dated-sounding, but SUPER interesting.

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
Just picked up a nice 1960's harmony baritone uke on craigslist. I'm a bit of a sucker for baritone uke. It covers some of the same tonal range as classical guitar but it's size allows for chord shapes and voicing that would be impossible. This one is solid mahogany and sounds lovely. I just have to replace the friction pegs with something usable.

Four 20' mic cables offa Stoopid Deal.
Why?
Because some are always "Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables."

Friend of mine just bought that. I'm excited to try it. I have their Karma Suture pedal and it's great.Nick Sevilla wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 12:54 pmMy first Catalinbread effect pedal. The Sabbra Cadabra.
