obviously targeted at the young and impressionable pop-star wanna-be's (that hopefully have dumb, rich parents)

Re: $999 pop filter
Well, you wouldn't want your podcast viewers to see the usual coathanger + old sock combo, would you?
"What fer?"
"Cat fur, to make kitten britches."

Re: $999 pop filter
For that price I’d want the outer ring cast in solid gold, not a 1 micron gold plate on aluminum. I’m sure solid gold would absorb more resonances or something.

Only worth it if it doesn't slip or droop. That clamp mechanism doesn't inspire confidence.
Re: $999 pop filter
Not slipping or drooping would be nice, but for that kind of scratch I would also need for it to comp my vocal takes, eq, compress them, and get them seated in the mix.

Re: $999 pop filter
Agree. it's simple physics. that thing looks like it has a lot of mass. the only pop filter I've had that has never drooped is a Stedman -- but 1) it costs more than $20 and 2) it has a very low-mass pop-filter/screenSnarl 12/8 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 8:33 amOnly worth it if it doesn't slip or droop. From their description:
Weight: 158 g x $53.57 = $8464.06
A bit more than the 1K they are asking for. LOL. but it would be the entire thing made of solid gold.
Price per gram of gold:

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.
