Yeah I was tempted to pick it up but I can't afford it at the moment. A friend of mine had one and it was a very cool microphone.

Uncle Craigslist just hooked me up with an '85 Ibanez Roadstar II for $136 W/HSC. This one's fire-engine red. It has single coil p'ups in a typical strat configuration, but someone hacked (and I do mean hacked) a humbucker into the center position--could be good, could be bad.... It's also got the rosewood neck, which (surprisingly) I don't hate even a little bit. Can't wait to hear how it sounds! Uncle Craigslist has been very good to me lately.

I just won a pretty ugly Multivox Fullrotor Leslie Simulator. I figure I can re-paint it and fill in any scratches with liquid metal filler and make it look like new.

I'm also going to pick up a Roland SDX-330 from craigslist this weekend. It emulates most of Roland's classic chorus effects (Dimension D, CE2) as well as a leslie and flanger. I'm almost set for outboard effects as I slowly attempt to move out the box for mixing by the end of the year. I got a Multivox MXD-5 spring reverb, Roland SDE-3000 delay, Roland SDX-330, and Sony DPS-V77. I want to get a Roland R-880 or TC M5000 as my "high end" reverb because the 480L is out of my price range.

Just found a Wurlitzer 214A EP in the trash down the street from my house. It's pretty hammered, but powers up, and a little bit of sound comes out of the headphone jack. Also, the vibrato works. STOKED!!!

The house in question had been shared until recently by a guy who played with Eric Clapton for several years during the 70's, and had moved out a couple of months ago. I guess his ex girlfriend wanted her garage space back.

Just got a TASCAM Portastudio 464 for $50, no manual. I can't for the life of me figure out how to record to the second channel while hearing the first, but without recording both the first channel and new recording to the second channel. The manuals aren't available online, and the one for the 424 and others don't translate that well. Oh well, this'll take some figuring out!

Wow! Way to go. Be sure and post on what you like that API for. I've read that they're pretty versatile and can completely change their tone with some switches.

Depending on the style of music you're doing you might be amazed at what you can do with a few delays and a good mono spring reverb. Use one delay before the spring and another after. Pan the pre-delayed spring to one side and the pre and post delayed spring to the other. EQ the 2 sides a little differently (I'll often roll off the highs on one side) for a really nice stereo effect.

Crown d-75 power amp off of evil bay. I've wanted one for a while but I didn't think it would sound that much better than my crappy Samson, but I was pleasantly wrong. Came with the original manual and quality control sheet. Makes my JBL 4312's happy.
