Decided to go with a pair of Jensen C12Qs for the BM cab.

In a word: awesome.

They were crazy cheap, and they sound really, really, REALLY good with both the '66 BM and one of those little Epiphone 5W heads. I'm sort of amazed at how much they really brought the Bandmaster to life...it sounds "right" now.

Daaaang. If these are this good, and the p12's are actually better, I'm curious as to how awesome those must be. Given that the C12q is probably closest to origianl though, and sound so good, they're keepers in that cab. Should my Ga-8T need a new speaker, though, I'll try the p12 in it, since an original one is what's in it now. Hopefully, it won't be necessary, though.

SO...having been amazed by how good these inexpensive Jensens sound in the BM, I'm thinking about trying a pair of p10 or c10 in a 2x10 cab of unknown manufacture that came with the BM head. That cab will probably see the most action with the Epiphone lunchbox head...anybody have any experience with the Jensen 10s to share?

^ me!

I have a '66 Pro Reverb with two vintage p12q's also running a 2x10 closed back, tremolux-sized cab with the c10q's.

i actually like the sound of the 2x10's better than the 12"s.

remember, shhhh :p
