Some wah pedals have a very throaty, vocal like response. You'll need one of those. It's 'cocked'- on and just left open in the sweet spot near the heel down position until the very end.

did tchad blake engineer that one? he was really into mechanical filters and throwing amps in metal garbage cans and weird stuff like that.
