Ack. I ran out of micro binder clips, had to order more. So I'll only be able to finish the first 20 or so in the next couple days. The rest will come once I get the new clips. Shoulda seen that coming.

Is lurking for a few years, then devoting one's first post to buying a microphone considered weak? If so, then color me weak.

I'd like a microphone, please. Thank you.

i finally got to use this last weekend. didn't get to fully put it through the paces, but i tried it on some guitar cabs.

at first i placed it about 8" off of the speaker in a 4x12, directly in front of it. the mic didn't seem to like this - sounded pretty woofy and i thought i may have been damaging the ribbon. so i put it a little off axis from the speaker and it responded much better and sounded much better. i probably wouldn't use it on it's own, but with another mic, it seemed to compliment the amp rather nicely. and it definitely scored points with the band i was using it on.

the only kinda bummer was the output. with a sytek all the way up on a loud guitar cab, the level was barely touching -3dB on my 2". but it was enough signal that i could live with it.

all that said, def worth the $35 or whatever they are going for now. good work and thanks a ton.

I would be very interested in purchasing one. Since you are local, i would also love for you to come down to the Highline Ballroom where we can put it up on some guitar cabs and listen to them on a large PA system.

Hey Paul, I'm feeling a little adventurous. Just built a Tremolo and Reverb pedal this week, so I feel like I could install the copper foil and save you the time. If you can send me directions on how to do this and a few little strips of the foil, I'll get PayPal over to you today for a second mic and wait it out. Is shipping still $6???

EDIT: Found the directions in the thread. Just let me know if you can send the copper foil and I'll send you the cash.

I'll just mail you some foil. No cash necessary. This was a blunder on my part... I wouldn't think of charging anyone for fixing it.

Oops. Did I pay twice? You had me marked down as paid yesterday when I first tried to send the money but my internet crapped out. Then today I sent it again.

Nope, just once. I don't think I marked anything yesterday... did those all this morning. I edit the list post as payments come in.

I hate it when that happens. What's worse is when the server has invalid credentials yet you know that you're at the right place (My university's IT people are idiotic and I was connected within the intranet so there was virtually no way for it to be phishing) and Firefox says you shouldn't be here right as you click send. Then you're never sure if it went through...argh!
