My Framus cello is circa 1950 - so young for a cello - but older than me.
Both my Filtek MKIII eq's and my NTP 179-120 comps are from circa 1975.

Best regards,
Steve Berson

1958: Hammond M-1 Organ
1964: Fender Blackface Bassman Head (Sept of 64 according to the tube chart)
Late 60's: AKG D-12
Early 70's?: Korg 770 Monophonic Synth.- I've never seen another one of these, Have you?

I also have a pretty old Sennheiser 441 and a pretty old Beyer M-500 but I'm not sure how old they are.
Good Luck,

I have a Neumann KM53 & KM54 from the 1950's. Both were custom mics built by Neumann for a classical recording company in Berlin Germany. They sound wonderful!

In regular use?

Collins Radio Co. 26C-2 limiter from 1939-41.

RCA PF-5 passive hi-pass filter from late 1930's.

I have a few preamp pieces that need a bit of restoration from the 1929-32 period.

i have a rock i use to keep bass drums in place, its from "big lava bed" washington.

for a rock, its VERY new, estimated at "8,200 carbon-14 years B.P. (before present)".

but yea, basically i kick everyone's ass here. even with my relatively brand spanking new rock!

A 1948 RCA Powered mixer. A mono tube amp for line or mic level signals. Boasts a whopping 10% harmonic distortion. Neat thing is that during the winter, I can pull it out and power it up to work as a space heater because it has this great grill and like all tube equipment, the rectifier and output tubes heat to max. I usually just use it to power my Alpine 6" x 9" when I'm mixing. Between that and the mono speaker in the Studer, I'm covered.

Second oldest would be either the Gibson GA-8 Discoverer amp or the Gibson GA-17 Scout amp from 1961 or so.

Last on the list is the mega-cool Fairchild 692 dual preamp from the late 1960's.

Ooops, almost forgot the oldest piece is a 1920's Kalamazoo acoustic guitar...but it's not really gear...

We have a Gibson parlor guitar and a Gibson mandolin, both from around the turn of the century (1909-10 or so). They are beautiful.

The one I've had the longest is a DX7, bought new by my parents when I was in 4th grade, '84 or so. An incentive to check out "modern" music that they may have regretted later. . .
