Old Fender amps are my favorite things in the world. I hate that I have to spend money silly things like, oh, food. That said, my poison is recorded music. I've had an $80 a month (finally put myself on a budget) habit for all of my adult life and before that I used to scavange garage sales for old Motown records. Several thousand blues records later...
Hello,
My name is Tom. Where do I start?
In general I would say gear. Mics, pre's, comps, computers, mixers, etc. I now have 7 guitars, 2 basses, 1 banjo, piles of MIDI instruments, 3 amps, effects pedals I didn't even buy...
Here is the kicker...Last night while showing my uncle Craigslist, I posted a WTB add for an amp. Ya know, just to see whats out there and show him just how it all works. Got a few responses and already agreed on a price for one of them.
My other problem is I have a REALLY hard time getting rid of gear that I haven't used in years. Although I am working on this one.

I'm a "good deal" collector. I have so many bands come through here that I always hear about something - now I have more gear than a pawnshop in cracktown.
The trouble is I always buy stuff expecting to turn it around for a profit, but like a dog who buries bones, I never seem to part with any of it. I'm scared I'm going to end up like those people with the hoarding disorder with stacks and stacks of gear and no room to walk through the room...
Hmm - the sick thing is that...you know...a room full of gear sounds awesome! I need help.
(I also collect old video game systems - 8 bit for life!)

Analog synths and old keyboards. I mainly play bass live, but I have a rhodes, a hammond m3, a pianet, a Minimoog, an ARP Odyssey AND an Axxe, and a 40 rackspace MOTM/Blacet/Homebrew modular synth. I don't really gig with any of this, though they do make it onto recordings, but not enough to really justify owning it all. But I love the stuff!
Maker's/rocks, water back. You buyin'?
