M-Audio gave me one of their Sputnik tube, multi-pattern microphones. Pretty damn cool!!!

I'll bite... AGAIN. I bought a bunch of mics. Rack gear is cool and all, since you get to look at it all the time, but mics are my first love.

broke down and got a mac g5, a motu 241/o, with logic pro 8 and a ton of plug-ins.. it has been a bitch teaching myself all of this ITB stuff but the ease of looking at waveforms has me sold on it.

agreed! don't just use it on snare. its actually really cool on kick, and excellent on bright electric guitar cabs (silvertone, dimed fender, etc). i've got some cool (tight) bass cab sounds of it it too.Cod wrote:Beyer 201. Excellent mic for the money!
