I was just listening to Drukqs by Aphex Twin and on the Orban Eq Trx 4 song, the kick and snares sound in tune with the bass. It's repetitive and stays in one key but it is hypnotizing. carry on.

So many different opinions here. But one thing is certain: I'm going into my studio to start making my drum kit sound better (hopefully) right now. There's hope for me yet.
