A Telecaster (probably '65) or the '72 Tele Thinline with the humbuckers. You could put a P90 in the bridge and still get that biting treble-y Tele sound but also have the neck humbucker when you want that thicker sound.

I certainly haven't played on enough different guitars to know which one would be my dream. Personally I love to play any guitar.
If I had to get rid of all but one of my electric guitars, I would keep my Ibanez Les Paul copy. It's one of the earlier ones that has the Gibson style headstock. It is my favorite in my collection. It's not one of the super rare ones with a thru neck, but it sounds great and plays great. I scored it in a pawn shop for $50.

I think my pimped out vintage 62' Fender Jaguar, my first and last to go guitar.
FIX the horrendously flawed bridge with a tune o matic style one and it's amazing, trust me. Gets a bad rap 'cause of the later ones, but it's top of the line Brazillian 4 bolt pre CBS action all the way.
close second would be a nice tele.

My only guitar would be the one I use now - I chat it up on my blog. (In case I can't get the image to show, SECOND link, the one on the left.) Jeez.
(As I suspected, it shows for me, but only at home.)
Yep, 64 Silvertone. FTW.
There's some history stuff there if you care to read it. Everything on my site's been recorded with that, and I would choose it over anything else I've played.

I'm in for two, and I can pay.

Epiphone Casino. I need to get Lollar pickups, but even now, it feels like a million bucks. Though I do want to get a re-issue 60s deluxe tele or build one myself.
"I'd rather her sound artificial [auto tune] than sound completely drunk." As said by the producer during a long pitch shifting session.
