Fine stuff Jeff. Thanks .

On that Fender CIJ Jaguar, how's all the switching work on the two black plates?

Those plates are actually silver.

Usual Jaguar switching... From Wikipedia:
Although the Jaguar and the Jazzmaster shared the same dual-circuit scheme, the Jaguar had a more complex second (lead) circuit consisting of three switches on the lower bout: the first two were on/off switches for the neck and bridge pickups, respectively, the third switch engaged a capacitor that served as a high-pass filter. This switch was often called the "strangle" switch among players, due to the fact that when it is switched on, the Jaguar attains a treble-accented tone quality originally designed to cater to Jazz guitarists using heavy-gauge, bassy-sounding, flatwound strings. The rhythm circuit, set into operation when the upper bout switch is flicked upwards, gives the guitar a bassier, neck pickup only sound, with individual volume and tone rollers to preset.
Oh, and I forgot... Mustang bridge saddles. Much better than the crappy stock Jaguar saddles.

CBS News, Sonoma, CA

In a bizarre apparent suicide attempt, Sonoma county resident, Shededoah Tiberius Shrinehoffer, remains in Sonoma Valley Hospital's ICU in a state of coma. Witnesses said the highly strung Shrinehoffer had been surfing an online messageboard for musicians and recording engineers when he suddenly threw himself off the balcony of his one story home, plummeting nearly 3 feet to the grass strewn earth below.

According to investigators at the scene, a note was left scrawled on a notepad near his computer stating that he was sorry but he could "no longer live in a world where no one followed subtle nonbinding guidelines". Stranger still was an unexplained 1/4'' patch cord completely lodged in his right sinus cavity. Shrine's distraught wife said the last thing he said before jumping was "just like John, baby, just like John!".

Mrs. Shrine and their young daughter were not available for further comment.

How many guitar players does it take to "f" up a thread of photos? :D

I also want to add that my Wine Red strat is getting an upgrade this month. I've always hated the color but loved the neck and new hardware. I'm switching out the body with a 1998 MIM Alder body in "Vintage White". It arrives today.

Here is a photo:

I hope that it doesn't sound bad after this.

UPDATE:

The operation was a success.

Still need to get a new set of pups, rebuild the Strat's insides and get it properly set up. However, it fits together.

Don't worry about it too much there, RnFR.
Even RefD's first post on this thread was just to a link.

(edits thread title) Besides, now I want people to post phots. Phots are much cooler than pics

Oh, I forgot, I'm in a coma. bye.

ps from beyond:
Hope the body transplant works out for ya Jeff.

So after taking the picture of my guitars, I've decided to overhaul the Squier. I'm painting it a dull pastel green (sorta looks like aged seafoam) and i'm going to put some jazz bass knobs on it, a hum cancelling p-bass pickup, and some vintage style fender tuners on it. i was considering replacing the bridge, but that might have to happen way further down the road.

i want to put some mustang style racing stripes on it, between the paint and clear coat. anyone have an idea what sort of material i can use to do this?

Oooh, pretty. Wine red/burgundy/maroon is my favorite color range. My Les Paul is wine red.

The violin was made in Tachau in 1904, the p-bass says 1972 in the neck but is probably a 1973, and the rest are more recent.

I stood on a chair and held the camera against the ceiling pointing down.

I didn't want to lean all my stuff against a wall for the shot. One mistake and teh j-45 gets it.

The film canister in the picture contains film.
