It kinda looks like those old organ interconnect cables like you use for a Leslie cabinet etc. Does it fit into something that looks like a tube socket? A lot of times these old multi pin connectors were used to cary power and audio signals down the same cable.

Yeah, I believe this has a tube in it. Its a hand made lap steel. I realize a lot of lap steels back in the day were came as one piece with a little amp. I think I'd rather try to find an amp this can plug into rather than try to convert it to something else. The GT Tube Book had some info.

Looks big enough to fit a standard power tube octal socket. My tube Lowery organs use these things for connecting up power from the amp section (which fold away from the back of the organ case) to the on/off switches, the speaker connections, and the preamp stage of the organ (which is mounted in the case, not on the back plane). So, yeah, anything from control power, to audio, to B+ and heater voltage could be running through them. The Lowery's are definitely standard octals, and even have the central locator pin, just like a power tube. Don't see that on yours. You'd hafta do some wire tracing to find out what each of those pins is supposed to carry and make some edjumacated guesses about how to hook them to any kind of amp arrangement...
