Just got the book: "The Dard Side of the Moon: The Making of the Pink Floyd Masterpiece" by John Harris. I thought the thing I'd like the most would be lots of pictures and discussion of gear but instead there is relatively little. What was more interesting was the discussion of HOW Pink Floyd worked (or didn't work) in the studio while they were making Meddle, Echos, and Dark Side of the Moon.
It relieves a little bit of tension I have about not being productive EVERYTIME I'm in my studio. Does anyone else get freaked out about this as well? I'll go down there with this idea that I'm going to get a ton of stuff done only to arrive and feel entirely UN-inspired and get nothing done.
Still doesn't mean I'm going to make DSOTM but I feel better about having down time.
