Currently he has great records out by the Decemberists, Nada Surf, and Hot Hot Heat, not to mention his own group, Death Cab for Cutie, which he has been recording since their inception,
Yes, I am one of THOSE people, up in the attic, trying to recreate the magical sounds of my youth (cheap trick, boston, pavement) on the family 8 track recorder.

You mean in the magazine? Death Cab was in there AGES ago. The article is in the TapeOp book. Chris was also a panelist at last year's conference.
