I think they're going for 8 bills.

You could buy a used UA 610 for around $750ish and get the eq. Just a thought if you want to go the tube route.
I know enough to know that I don't know what I am doing.

It's the portability and obvious intentional design for portability that makes the Solo series look so inviting (to me). Grab it and go? Schlep it off to the next room or the other side of the room? On location use with your laptop setup? Pretty sweet if you ask me.

Like, UA's version of the GT Brick, which sounds great for some things (mostly DI) but lacks versatility as a pre IMO.

Like T-Tunes said, I wonder how they sound?

I've been excited at how sweet my EH 12AY7 sounds but it's a lightweight, fragile box that isn't going to be able to deal with any abuse whatsoever. I've already had 2 develop grounding issues just in a sterile studio environment. But that's another thread.

Man, there is a used 2108 on the buy/seel/trade page right now. He made some upgrades to the already hi quality capacitors. Just saw it.

They must've updated their website because we were complaining.

Now, if there was an "Easy Button"....
