Man, I love the drum sound on Contact. Does any one know how they got it?

i dunno, but on the album sleeve he's got a double kick drum kit- the only time i've heard one not be used for evil purposes... in the pic they're playing on a roof, kinda like an avant 'let it be'...

Great drummer, one of my favorites... Siemon took a differet guy on the reunion for some reason.


Still, what was the mic set up. I'm dying dying to know.

the original drummer (danny) died earlier this year. shame, he was a great drummer.

that's definitely a case of some damn finely tuned drums. also, ya know.....not much else to get in the way in those arrangements. i'd love to know what kind of setup was used as well.....
