I have lived without EQ on vocals for a while now just 414 b-uls+m610 to DAW but I an am itching to try some more extreme kind of things. If I record it strait and EQ it in the box I find it hard to predict the best mic placement on the Vocalist.
Being such a DAW child I never even thought about outboard EQ until lately.
Any Ideas?

brent averill's avedis EQ's are $950 a channel and make my mouth water everytime i look at them, i want to say andy hong gave them a good review somewhere, they're first on my list for outboard eq
of course it helps i already have a lunchbox for a power supply, but with as many new '500 series' products coming out right now i wish i had sprung for the 11 space racked one...
