first of all:
This is my bands face when I hit it :shake:
That made me laugh out loud literally three seperate times.

second of all:

the EH Graphic Fuzz is the greatest thing I ever heard. I haven't seen one in
15 years, and it kills me all the time. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
Joel, can you convince them to reissue this thing?

humm..

isn't the graphic fuzz widely avaliable and reissued for that matter? i always see one when i go out to try guitars, and online dealers have loads of it..

maybe you're refering to a different one?

the fabtone sounds pretty consistent with my various guitars and amps. it can really fry and sizzle in that hi-gain, post-rock kind of way.

my friend's 4ms noise swash is pretty sweet, though.

ibanez 9 series super metal

boss hm-2

i love pedals with 'metal' in their designation. i'll even go as far as using a dod death metal. that pedal sucks, but the name is fantastic.

I just saw a huge pile of them at EH the other day. They have been reissued for a while. Look on the EH website.

BTW, the 4ms guy, Dann, just told me they are introducing a PCB for the swash...so it'll be way easier to DIY. I don't have one but I love the Atoner...and I reviewed the Triwave in TapeOp this month...aurelialuz convinced me to build one of those and it turned out to be not too terribly hard and really fun to use.

Thanks guys. Clearly I'm a big dork for not looking hard enough.
But I know what my next fuzzbox will be... :D

It's a great pedal for feedback fx. Just add whammy bar and you'll be amused for days.

really? what do you like about it? what have you used it on? sound samples? i've looked at this a few times, cause it has lots o' knobs, and it's cheap.
It just sounds different from other fuzzes. It's smooth, can be rather cold, and the color and resonance knobs are pretty neat. I'm assuming resonance is some sort of feedback loop. You can get the classic fuzz tone but I don't really want that...I just like having something oddball.

IMHO, people are snobs about fuzz & have narrow ideas about what one should be like. This one is a different flavor...cold cuts to Fuzz FAce's bacon.
This is not the greatest sounding fuzz, but if you crank the resonance and gain, oh crap, I can't remember which knobs, but one of them you can sweep and get all sorts of sick therimin type sounds from the unit (with no input, just the unit making internal noize). And also the built in gate is pretty cool for chunk-uuh! chunk-uuh! type rythmic puncuations.

Def worth the money!

I love my Jordan Bosstone. The Dan Armstrong Green Ringer is cool too. And don't forget the Fender Blender. It's intense.

I'll give another thumbs up for the Prescription Electronics Experience Pedal. Butch Vig/Duke Erickson of Garbage borrowed mine while they were recording the first Garbage CD. They later told me that the fed almost every channel through that pedal at some point and referred to it as their secret weapon. I got a thank you credit on the album "Linus, thanks for the Experience". Just take a look.

The triangle knob EH Big Muff is my favorite.

The Alesis Bitrman is a newer one that does it's own thing.

^ good story!

I have this Line6 DM4 Distortion Modeler Pedal, and it works pretty well for freak out fuzzes.

Seconded. It sounds like a woolly mammoth would sound if you trapped it in your amp.
