FYI-I wrote to Atlas Sound and suggested the create a replacement 10-15 pound stand base for their standard mic stands. No Reply but at least I put it out there for them.

How about a flywheel!
I shared my Gold's Gym weights idea on another forum and "met" a guy who used a Flywheel from a Jaguar motor car for a stand weight!
