Bob Clearmountain's gear list with quotes

Check out Bob's gear list and his subjective descriptions of gear. Truly, this link should be, 'TapeOp Priceless'!

He needs to get that RCA BA6A fixed...

"Priceless" as in "I can't afford any of that gear"...

I'm surprised by how "bro-bra" such an "industry leader" sounds on his website. This guy's like a top mastering engineer, isn't he? I was kinda charmed by gear reviews like: "kinda sucks," or "sounds shitty, but was really expensive," but his website doesn't exactly make me want to pony-up a fortune for his services. Pretty fun reading.

You can probably afford the Apple powered speakers, which go for about $35 a pair.

Pretty funny...

1 Funk Logic Valvecaster 1960 This box makes everything better - very transparent, subtle effect
1 Funk Logic Digilog Dynamicator Of all the pieces of gear in the room, this is definitely one of 'em!

No.

Bob Clearmountain is a renowned mix engineer. You're thinking of Bob Ludwig.

Ah, but look in the mic section - "Octavia" [sic] MK-012 appears to be liked.

Okay, so I looked at this Bob Clearfountain's website -- who cares? He's got a bunch of little gadgets, and he doesn't like George Bush, and he has a blonde wife and a couple of blonde kids, and a big mansion in the woods. Other than that, I couldn't care less about this asshole.

I love it when young newbies have an insanely naive view of things!
