DIY power supply for Oktava MKL-2500?

Post by pointillist » Fri Feb 24, 2006 8:13 am

One of the local Guitar Droid stores has an Oktava MKL-2500 that they lost the power supply for, and are willing to part with it for cheap. I like my MKL-2500, and wouldn't mind grabbing a second. Anyone have any good resources for making a new power supply? I know that Oktava used to sell them seperately on ebay, but don't see them any more. Any kits/schematics around?

<edit...>

Looks like I might have answered my own question- anyone know which kit would be a good match?

You could start by using a meter to see what the voltages are on the output of the power supply. be careful or bring you psu to a tech who could read them for you. That way you would know what typr of psu to buy, if you don't want to go with the oktava model.

HT: 120V

Heater: 4.5 - 6.3V (6.3V for Chinese)

Buy a G7 valve mic PCB kit from Gustav at www.groupdiy.com
