Eric, do you have any sound clips or tracks you can share featuring the M1? I've been lusting after one for a while and would love to hear another example of how they sound. The M1 seems to be an eclectic choice.

Nice cover this week by the way. Beautiful vox.

thanks! and you've found your soundclip of the M1 as well; the 2 main
vox on my cover this week are with the M1! i just got it and it's really
the only thing i've used it on. i did the 1st vocal with acoustic also both
with the M1. the thing is beautiful. i gotta try it on some more stuff this
weekend. thanks again. Bill Ricchini is a great songwriter.

Really diggin' my new Rode NT1-A mic and EH 12AY7 preamp combo. Just did my first tracking with those 2 and they play really well together on violins. Haven't tried vocals yet, nor bass and guitar, still need to buy a DI box, now looking into the Avalon U5 as I hear nothing but good things. More money but it's an investment as I looooove tracking bass.

Otari MX-50 #1 with remote (tape delay)
Otari MX-50 #2 with remote (mixdown deck)
Philips CDR-775 with kick-butt A/D converter
Shure Unidyne III
1946 Gretsch 3pc. ($5 at church rummage sale)
Tascam 424 Mk II (ghetto, I know--no it's not my primary tracking device)
Equipment rack
Cat
(I have to watch the cat constantly to make sure it doesn't malfunction or cause other equipment to fail. But cat does wonders for my peace of mind when I am about to rip my hair out over some trouble and he comes waltzing in.)
