Tascam M-308 Opinions?

Post by rjm » Mon Apr 24, 2006 3:57 pm

Anybody have one that they love? I've heard good things. How about compared to a Soundrcaft 200B?

Thanks.

I have an M308 which I had bought several years ago, (to be used with my Tascam 48 Recorder), but I never had the chance to use it that much. I am in the process of rearranging all my hi fi equipment in my basement, and I'm hoping to get my 308 up & running soon. (I also have a Teac A-3440 along with the Model 2A mixer & MB-20 meter bridge).

I suppose I couldnt really give an opinion until I get underway using the 308, but nonetheless I think its a great board, especially as I am more into the older style analog equipment.

For now, the only slightly 'negative' thing I can say about the 308 is that its square shape and long depth seems to make it difficult to find a proper size modern-day studio desk/table to be able to put the 308 on. (as opposed to the smaller depth, wider width 500 series Tascam boards).
