Post by phlow42 » Sat Apr 29, 2006 8:08 am

hello everybody. i was just wondering if anyone knew who or where i should take my wurlitzer 200 to get fixed. i'd rather have a private guy do it then a company like ears or something. i need someone reliable and who will do a great job. not worried about cost too much. please let me know! thanks,

whats wrong with it.

is it really a 200 or a 200A?

If its a 200, I highly highly highly recommend replacing the amp with the Vintage Vibe replacement amp. I replaced my 200's amp after years of doing tech battle with it - now its extremely reliable with brand new electroncis in there, fuses in sockets, and sounds dead quiet whatever its plugged into.

the 200 is a monster - even if you get a tech to get it running for you, its still going to be noisey and sketchy because its not a properly designed amplifier. Its a mess.

If I were not moving at the end of next week I would be able to do this work for you. I am sure someone around he can do it!
