Does anybody know any mods for the Presonus BlueTube? I know that there is a mod at Black Lion Audio but they don't have a diy kit....Thanks

This is from a conversation between BLA matt and I a few months back:

There's not much that can be done with the Blue Tube DP. I've modified
them for people before, but I hate charging money for it because I
don't feel like the end result is really worth the cost. Usually the
first thing that needs to go is the tube itself--the stock one is
usually noisy, and it should be replaced. The front end of the circuit
is decent, but no upgrade exists for it. The output stage kind of
sucks in my opinion, although lots of older audio designers love the
opamp it uses. Personally, I've not figured out why. I can change it
out for something nicer, but it's pretty expensive to do so, and I've
just never really been that impressed with the results. I've replaced the output stage with OPA4134's before. I think I had
someone source the 4134's as samples from TI.

Im not sure if the new BLA mod is any different than this but ive spoken to a few people who were happy with the results. Personally i havent found the time to do the mod myself since the op-amps are surface mount and im not an expert at soldering.

Hope this helps
