Pro Tools 7 gets 'stuck'

Post by stevebozz » Tue May 23, 2006 8:43 am

I teach Pro Tools to teenagers, but I'm by no means an expert... so maybe someone can shed some light on this problem that's driving me nuts.

Randomly, the record transport will get stuck.. it won't respond. I'll have Record Enabled on the transport, then I go to hit play and it won't budge. I notice that whenever I hit the play button, the stop button also somehow gets highlighted and pushed. I've noticed if I click around a little or do a restart, this problem goes away.

So is this a bug or am I not paying attention to something I should know about?

Thanks
Steve

for now, maybe try hitting the number 3 on your numeric keypad, or f12? I don't know if it's a bug or not, but those are just two other keys for "record." maybe it'll help temporarily. plus, i know with PC at least, hitting the spacebar is like hitting the "enter" button on whatever is highlighted at the moment. I don't know if it happens on macs, but it might be a possibility?

I love signal flow.

Imagine the possibilities!
