yanking the reverb out of a stereo receiver

Post by ryangobie » Fri Jun 30, 2006 2:18 pm

i suppose i'm in the same boat as the person with the peavey they're ripping apart, but unlike him, i don't have the accutronics site with all it's info. this is an old pioneer stereo receiver with the most messed up sounding reverb in it. i must have it. but before i go ripping into it, should i take any voltage readings for the circuit around it or just pull the reverb tank or try to take out the reverb circuity as a whole? any suggestions?

See if you can find any service info/schematics for that model via a 'net search.

why yank it out at all? if it's the kinda thing you're not gonna use all that often, leave it where it is! You''ll wow a client someday when you pull it out of a closet and run signal through it.
