Yeah.

Those were the days.

Now he's too fucking busy with that movie deal to do any real recording.

I hear he was miffed that they rewrote the true ending of the diary to something that was "more entertaining" and would make for a better movie then that original lame-ass ending...

That shit just kinda all fell-apart yo.

That album sold BAJILLONS of copies. Mixerfreak was too busy scouring the world for vintage Pultec's to write out the REAL end.

Anyhoo, Kevin Smith's directing and they cast Robin Williams as Willy Show. Mixergeeks character is being portrayed by Charlie Sheen.

They're still lookin' for someone to play Fingaz...

They had Pauly Shore but it wasn't working out.

Actually, the big hurdle has been filling the band positions, as the band has no interest in playing themselves. The challenge has been whether to find actors that play an instrument (preferably poorly), or hack musicians who don't really need to act to pull off the role. We've decided on the latter. Which is good news for you.

After evaluating your bass playing on CaPE (or lack thereof), along with your abrasive online personality, I'd like to offer you the role of Harmon.

Wait by your phone for my agent to call.

Thanks,

Mixerman

Excellent!

Just one, maybe two minor niggles.

That wasn't my bass playing on the CaPE thing. Originally, at one point...it might've been me but for some reason Chris J. put down a bunch of random "bass" parts because our arranger was miffed that I didn't play EXACTLY what he had written out, down to the last double sharped dotted quarter note, EVEN AFTER I told him from the get-go that I can't read a single note! Man, did he ever try & tear me a new asshole for that...

Whatever. Not that any of that matters after Fletcher decided to record those bingers with a Blumline array & send 'em through those phasers or whathaveyou!

:D

I digress. If you're really into that cailber of bass playing then you'll need to contact Chris J for the movie.

I'd be MUCH better at playing the mopey guitarist who only likes AC30's...whuddever his name was.

That's waaaaaaaaaaay more my speed, I wouldn't even have to act really.

Just show up & read lines.

hmmm...the problem with all of this speculation is I never know if someone if messing with me. I have the book and enjoyed it, started following the continued adventures online, then nothing happened and I lost track. Seems like the continued story has disappeared.
So, this movie thing is a reality? It's getting made?

It'd be a great time for it. Anything to pull the curtain back and show the general record buying public the kind of stuff that goes down. Maybe they already know and that's why they're more often the non-record buying public these days.

Too bad Jared Leto is in a "real" band. I think he'd be a great Johnny. Perhaps too old now?

eh, there's probably no movie, no mixerman, no easter bunny...

Well, then we're screwed, 'cause this pumpkin patch gets pretty insincere from time to time.

Are you trying to imply the Billy Corrigan is somehow involved in the Mixerman Diaries?

Didn't you get the memo where Mixryerdrinks asked us NOT to spread the word that he IS in fact Billy Corgan until AFTER the movie is out?

I'm tellin' ya...LBJ had Stanley Kubrick film that fucker at Pinewood Studios.

*The "Space Race" with Russia
*JFK's deadline before '69
*Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey

It wasn't a coincidence Kube's next film was all about government cover up.

You know, in this relatively new age of the internet, one of the major strains of disqualifying bullshit is fakery and hyping, adoring one's own BS far beyond the point of usefulness.

As entertaining as Mixerman's diaries were, the whole phenomenon just doesn't warrant so much attention. There is always a new fad, a new internet amusement to be enjoyed. Those OK Go guys sure do make neato videos. How about lonelygirl15?

No one should be a sucker by caring about Mixerman. It might by funny if he revealed his true self and explained the inside scoop.

He should be given credit for good writing, and we should get on with our lives.

Musicians are shallow untalented crybabys and the industry is full of waste and corruption? shocking and hilariously entertaining.
