Yeah, not a bad mic, but the ground on mine gets loose and delivers an awful hum from time to time. I think the build quality is suspect, but it's a cool mic on acoustic guitars.

okay okay so if everybody else is straying from the original tube theme, I'll add my freak out excitement about my new red type b. I have only been recording for three years, and the only other ldcs i've used a ton are the 414, ksm44, a 4047 and an adk tc51...the red kills on everything I have used it on and I only have the stock capsule--not any of the fancier ones. I bouht it used for $575. The seller said it beat out several mics that cost more than four times its retail price.
