Eco-Friendly Studios

Post by Fieryjack » Mon Jul 31, 2006 7:32 am

Don't know which category this goes in......

Does anyone know of any eco-friendly/green studios (big or small) that have been built that rely on solar power/wind power/water power/whatever? I once heard of a solar powered mobile recording van.....I'm sure there must be some out there or at least others researching this.

Let me know....thanks!

Well--ahem--my studio runs off of solar panels on the roof, which charge a battery bank in the basement, and the power runs through inverters to convert the 12VDC to 120VAC... it was so totally politically correct and everything, and cheaper than running power lines up the road and saddling myself with electric bills forever...

But I gotta tell you, nobody could ever care less where the power comes from. If people didn't think that I gave them astonishing, breath-taking, crystal-clear sound and bold, brave, stunning mixes, I would be starving in my little eco-friendly world here.

Not to disparage the rightness of my cause or anything... I just have to point out it's pretty much just a novelty. It doesn't have anything to do with anything.

Tots, i'm less worried about the bold and stunning.
The large print giveth, and the small print taketh away.
