There, I said it

Nothing but fun. And no latency using the stock Macbook input. 2 hours with a bunch of overdubs, and no software instruments even, and the silly little song was complete. Pure fun.

I finally found a new "portastudio"...

Thanks Apple.

I posted a thread a while ago asking people about g band...likes/dislikes

I use it all the time, and love it. Usually I use some loop to get going then dump it to pt ( the m-audio version)and mix there. You know most of the time I use smassey's plugs...cheap(read FREE!!) so the whole beggining stage cost's almost nothing.

The beauty of all this is with the versatilty of g band and lack of cost of both of the programs and plugs I've been able to spend my money on some other things that I think pay off well; a UA 2108 dual channel pre a few cheap compressors (RNC) and a 2 track tape deck(MCI).

One thing that I have found is the amazing amount of plugs with g band when run through a good pre sound nice....I'm sure some will disagree but it sure is fun!!

Also when yo are in the moment it gives you so many options and keeps you there making music!!

One of my favorite things about Logic is that it includes the GarageBand instruments, so you can open GB files directly into Logic and start getting detailed. Helps me help my friends. Fun stuff.

garageband was the nicest thing Apple ever did for the world. It's unbeatable for what it is. If only it recorded 24 bit audio....

But then, that's why I run Logic. Although drum editing in ProTools is a lot easier.
I find adherence to fantasy troubling and unreasonable.
