FIREWIRE 410 + GB - MONITORING ISSUES

Post by teresaiswar » Tue Aug 22, 2006 10:56 pm

I think I have everything installed right, but it sounds like there's two of me when tracking vocals. I tried making some adjustments at the Firewire 410 mixing window. It plays back just fine, but am I missing something somewhere when monitoring? Any tweaks I need to make in Garageband?

I"m on a Intel macmini 1.66Ghz - 1 GB RAM. Not the mightest machine, but I thought it would be enough for my purposes here (singer songwriter stuff), where I'm working with anywhere from 3 to 12 tracks....the delay sounds like I've doubled vocals - just enough for me to be concerned for future demo productions....

Sounds like you have the track monitor button selected...

I do have the track monitor button turned on in Garageband. When I turn it off, I don't hear anything from my mic
