yeah, the candy. they make great shakers!
and you can easly control the sound by eating some.
now but seriously. sounds good recorded i think..

see, i have rice, in various things.. small bottles. in plastic easter eggs. bags.. its cool. but the tic tacs are not as swooshy..
i'm not saying they are "better" then anything. but i like it more then the one "actual" shaker i have.. and has a nice "meaty" (?) quality to its rattle.

I prefer a Pringles can with a bit of rice added to the last Pringles crumbs. Tic-Tacs are good, too - completely different sound. Everyone needs multiple shakers. :)

Here's one:

Try using those dessicant (sp?) crystals that come in the dehydrating packs -- don't eat them! -- they make a higher pitched, defined shaker sound that cuts, if you're into that kind of thing...
