MBox 2 "PRO"
Digidesign recently released the new MBox 2 "PRO". It addresses alot of issues that should have been addressed with the original MBox 2. It's nice to see it's firewire instead of USB and also word clock was much needed. And it's only about twice as much as the MBox 2.

christ, why bother when you can get a used digi 001 for like 250 now, Protools/PCI card included?
I find adherence to fantasy troubling and unreasonable.

You have a laptop. . .
You have a newer PC with the wrong voltage on the PCI slot. . .
or. . .
You want to use Protools 7
HWJLHC?
k
good points.
I run Logic 7 on a dual 1.42 MDD G4 with an Echo Audiofire 12, but I've been thinking about buying a used digi 001 and running Protools LE additionally because I like editing in Protools a lot more than in Logic- though Logic offers an awful lot that Protools doesn't. I had been looking at MBoxes and was wondering why I would want to pay twice the price for a two-channel USB I/O, just to be able to run protools if I wanted to.
