Time after time.

Written by the "Hooters", sung by Cindy Lauper.

I still think it's a fab song.

America has some great stuff too!

Best,
H

I prefer the theme from Barney Miller.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

OK...I'll cop to that 99 Red Balloons song especially the german version...Rainy Days and Mondays and Superstar by The Carpenters. When i was 14 I had every Kiss album and Barry Manilow album that was in print...I sill listen to Kiss...The harmonies on Dancing Queen still gives me goosebumps. That's just good pop music. Black Betty is still a favorite jammer. My punk friends would take me out and shoot me if they ever read this....

I liked 7Seconds' version! :D

I think John Baccigaluppi might have even recorded that one...

"How Deep is Your Love?" Bee Gees. The voices on the chorus are awesomely silky and schmaltzy.

Most of Prefab Sprout's "Two Wheels Good." So self-consciously melodramatic, but killer melodies. I love it. I sing loud to it. Then I pretend that I know stuff about sports.

There's nothing wrong with liking Come On, Eileen.

I've been listening to True by Spandau Ballet quite a bit lately. It makes me laugh.

Goodbye to Love - Carpenters
Learnt the solo aged 14 back in the late 70s

Keep on Loving You - REO Speedwagon
Dreadful I know - but that solo - especially the echo part (about three notes in) - tasty....... - ish

Pat Benetar - Heartbreaker
Bass line

As much as I hate 80s synth pop, and guitarist or bass players who wear their instruments as chin defenders, .. Simple Minds - Alive and Kicking

la la lala la la la lala ......

"1978" ('79? I forget) -- Smashing Pumpkins. I just find Mr. Corigan so lame, but I do dig that song.

A 2nd vote for George Michael's "Freedom," that is a pretty fun song.

"Beautiful Day" by U2. It makes me happy

Destiny's Child big huge single with the strange beat (I don't know the name) from a few years back. What can I say... I prefer it on video.

I have a cassette of Bryan Adams' "Reckless" in my car right now. There, I said it.

Pretty much any of those Bobby Sherman classics from the late 60's/early 70's.

Every time I hear him I picture Oscar the Grouch from Seasme Street singing.
