Electro Harmonix NY2A comp tubes. What's inside?

Post by Coco » Tue Oct 24, 2006 3:58 pm

What tubes are in there? Anybody? The manual lists them as being EH1, EH2 and EH3 which basically tells me nothing. Are they 12AX7, 12AU7, 12BH7 ect...? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks.
I know enough to know that I don't know what I am doing.

Found the info. 6922, 6C45P, 6H30. Strange tubes indeed.

LA2A copy sort of right?

6922=6DJ8/ECC88 Fairly common tube. ECC88 used in REDD preamps.
Instead of 12AX7

6C45P Single triode. Probobly used instead of 6AQ5 to drive EL panel.

6H30 Suitable for a driver/output tube.
Used in place of 12BH7 which is hard to get good ones.

All current Russian production tubes. Seem to be very popular with audiophiles anyway.

hey.
its not at all like an la2. the 6922 is the voltage amp and buffer for the gain reduction circuit. the 6c45p and 6h30 are the make up gain and power buffer. the magic eye is a russian = to em80. the el panel driver is discrete solid state. the other optos are also chip driven.
