where can i get a mic stand adapter for a bigger thread size

Post by versuviusx » Fri Nov 03, 2006 7:25 am

hi i'm looking for a mic stand adapter that makes my small thread go to a bigger thread so i can use a Mic Stand Adapter Clip like this.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Lot-2-Microphone-Mi ... dZViewItem

see how the bottom of this has a big diameter and a different thread. i have a boom stand that
uses a smaller thread and is smaller in diameter. hopefully you know what i mean. if you don't understand. i will try to clarify later with pictures. please help.

That was the kind of thing I was thinking you needed....

Yup, that's the typical adapter for a USA mic on a Euro stand. Here in the USA we tend to get them with new microphones, but since the stands are all the big thread we just throw them in a drawer somewhere.

My advice would be to send a cool T-shirt or something to one of us in the USA, and we'll send back a handfull of those adapters.
