I hate these words

Post by MichaelAlan » Thu Nov 09, 2006 7:43 pm

When reffering to music:

Beefy
Rounded
Warm
Aww forget it. I just hate all the damn words everyone uses to describe recordings. YA BRO THAT GUITAR SOUNDS SO CRUNCHY AND WARM AND SMOOTH BRITTLE AND IT SMELLS LIKE OVARIAN CANCER. hjhfdjalksdjfh

If you have had a Roland 8 track for 3 months, I refuse to listen to you say something sounds "tight" ...."warm"....

Your drums will sound like muffled farts if you can't tune drums. Which you probably can't.

Maybe a problem lies in the fact that people listen to a. Blink182 or similar and b. their own recordings. How do learn what is in the middle?

Also, what the HELL happened to Wing, Lance Romance, and various others?

How's that for a ramble? Maybe someone can help me describe what's pissing me off around here.

We have a recurring joke with my band along the same lines...something like, "Yeah, that sounds good...but could you make it sound more ORANGE?"

Wing has dropped off the radar almost everywhere.

Lance completed a tour of North America just a few months ago.

myself, i've been bouncing between Singapore and Malaysia almost weekly since early October and have just recently resurfaced.

dunno about the various others.

i think what's pissing you off is ppl who parrot marketing crap in an attempt to appear knowledgeable without putting in the work and time.

or maybe it's just ppl who spout bullshit in general?

stab in the dark, sorry.

My bassist friend and I have a new saying,

"somebody better change my diaper - cause I'm the s@*t!"

or if somebody stats bragging about something it's "you need a diaper?"

So from now on any fat ass bass tone is known as "the diapers"

Or even better a "wet diaper"

yeah I have an elipsis problem I know. I try not to revert to my old ways... but it's hard... to express yourself in a concrete manner, without leaning on a dramatic crutch. And so when you read it... out loud... you sound like.....

THE SHAT!
