Your Favorite Utility Mic

Post by lightandmind » Thu Dec 14, 2006 4:20 pm

Got a swiss-army mic that you just adore? Has it saved your ass in battle? I'm looking for responses in the "most versitile" catagory with a reasonable cost/quality ratio.

Oh, and 57 don't count. Ha.

either an 835 (my needs are few, my HPFs are legion) or a modded 219.

I'll second that one. It's been my favorite since I bought it. It's great on guitar cabs and bass cabs. I have yet to try it on toms. . .so we'll see!

The other mic I use a lot is my Sennheiser e609. I only use that on guitar cabs though, so it's not really "utility."

I agree with the 421 also, and would add the 441.

AT3035. I love my 4050, but use the 3035 more.
