ADK TC Tube Replacment

Anyone have any tips on what tubes to check out for an ADC TC tube replacement? Thanks.

Larry from Adk sent me one of these when mine was acting funky.

made a big difference.

be aware that the little metal connectors that are attached to the tube pins break off very easily so remove and put back gently.

I'm pretty sure that's the same Electro Harmonix tube that their tech put in my secondhand TC when it was acting up.

You'll have far fewer microphonics and a much smoother response overall from a JJ ECC83S. To me, the EHX 12AX7's sound like cheap Russian stock tubes that are high in microphonics and better suited for guitar amps.
